Heavy Equipment Operator and Laborer Position Summary:
Left Hand Excavating is seeking a motivated and dependable Heavy Equipment Operator and Laborer to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator and Laborer at Left Hand Excavating, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of excavating projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and a track record of exceptional performance in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of equipment, including excavators, front-end loaders, skid steers, water trucks, and grade equipment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve project objectives and meet deadlines.
- Ensure equipment is maintained in good working order and perform routine inspections.
- Perform manual labor duties, such as digging trenches and ditches, when not operating equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
- Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors in a professional manner.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal) with customers and coworkers.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Complete a 90-day probationary period.
- Experience with operating various equipment in inclement weather and varied terrain.
- Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets and safety protocols for excavations.
